Dialouge Session with SSMP 3rd Year Juniors about Latihan Industri

As the juniors start to find and send letters to the food company they interested, tomorrow will be a dialouge session with them to help them to solve some of their questions.

Date : 22 July 2009 (Wednesday)
Time : 12.30pm - 1.30pm
Place : Foyer SSMP

Hence, please stay back after Dr Din briefing to help our juniors in some way.

The session will most probably conduct in the way of group following states like Sabah, Penang, Johor and etc.

If you have any contact number or anything that would like share with the juniors, please do so.

LI sharing session with juniors who are going to LI soon???

Just to ask the opinion of you all...

If we all seniors have a session of simple dialouge with our juniors who are now 3rd year about Latihan Industri, how is it?
As a lot of them still blur, nervous and scared about LI just like us before. Hope with the simple dialouge session and an hour of your time and sharing will help them in some way.

Here have a few important information that I would like to share.

(1) Latihan Industri Presentation Briefing

Date: 23 July 2009

Day: Thursday

Time: 12.00pm until around 12.30pm

(2) Food Tech Fermentation Class Changed

The 21 July 2009 ( Tuesday) class is changed to 24 July 2009 (Friday).

Time: 10.30am until around 12.00pm

Place: Either SSMP Bilik Seminar or Bilik Kuliah Utama

(3) Dr Chye Thesis Briefing

For those that under Dr Chye for thesis, please attend a briefing conducted by Dr Chye.

Place: SSMP Microb Lab

(4) PTPTN

As a lot of people asking me about when will the PTPTN bank in to their account, I would like to give some explanation with the information I know. As for PTPTN, the money will bank in when our result reach the minimum requirement which is 2.00 or 2.50 (not sure). But our result of LI will get around end of this semester or next semester. However, this issue, I already brought up to Penolong Pendaftar SSMP and Seksyen Perumahan dan Perkhidmatan Pelajar HEP. They will help to sort things out.

As this a new things in our school,SSMP, just be patient. As we already a university student, we should know how to spend money wisely and for the emergency.

Previously our Senior just having the PTPTN contract problem as they changing from 3 years course to 4 years course.

(5) Waiting of bus.

Based on my this few days of taking bus experience during morning, if you are from IP or KF and want to take a bus to Kampung AB/CD/E to take bus SSMP, you can wait at the bus stop in front of Dewan Resital which also the bus stop near CIMB bank. As most of the drivers like to pass by the Canselori road to Kampung.

To: All

1) Food Technology 4th Year Course

Fermentation will start next week.
Product Development and Enzyme courses will start from this week.

2) The clash of Keusahawanan dan Pemasaran

For the clash of these two subjects, those that involves please still register these two subjects. I and Elvin will discuss with the Lecturers and see how things go. If really does not have other time for you all, then at that time, you all can Gugur one of the subject. Name list of people involved will be collected in classes this week.

3) Remember to do you Pendaftaran Rasmi before end of today (7 July 2009)

After you did your Pre-registration of Course before 29 June 2009, you still need to do it for the second time for the Pendaftaran Rasmi.

4) Having problem to Register

As I heard a lot of people cannot register as a dialouge box saying that we have not pay for yuran, please try to register again because the problem fixed yesterday evening.

5) For those that did not receive email from foodstep@yahoo.com, please email to foodstep@yahoo.com together with your name,food tech/food science, your matrix no and which FoodStep group are you in. This will help yourself to get updates through email.

A few reminders...

A few reminders to share:

1) Please remember to pass up your
-Latihan Industri report and
-Daily report log book (remember to write name on both reports)
to the SSMP office.
They will have the reports copped.

2) Please remember to register for your Pendaftaran Rasmi. Last day is 7 July 2009. For those that already Pre-registration, also need to register for the Pendaftaran Rasmi again.

3) Regarding the Kolej, you can try to bug the Kolej HEP occasionally. Who know’s what happen? ( Is everyone without getting kolej, have a temperorily place to stay? Take care)

4) Dr Chye’s class (fermentation) will start next week (14 July 2009, Tuesday)
Ms Ho’s class (enzim) on Thursday will start this week (9 July 2009)

5) Please visit Christopher Portal always too ( the link is on the right of this FoodStep Blog). He had a few important updates in it too.
