Appreciation and Farewell Dinner ???!!!

Appreciation and Farewell dinner seem met a few problems:

  1. No response from you all whether want or not
  2. No people want to get involve in organizing or planning as all just want to be a participant only

Hence, the Dinner seems to be canceled at this point until the point anyone interested to involve in organizing or planning, then we still have a week to plan or make a plan. Please response through sms or Facebook,SSMP HN2006 group or even comment in this post.

Actually, a Appreciation and Farewell Dinner is important as it 'ends' our University and SSMP beautifully and to show gratitude towards all the lecturers, staff and all our friends.

Graduation Magazine Distribution during 12nd Conva

Thesis Hardcover?!

SSMP friends,

Since we started our VIVA, the next step it seem to be do correction and make into hard cover.
However, the hardcover thing, until today still do not have certain answer.

As today i heard from my friends some said that En Musa said must give him to do the hardcover and the hardcover changed colour.Hence, I myself just ask for confirmation about what the colour and etc from Dr Din, he said will come out a memo or notice in this two days. However, he said, we can do it on our own at the shop outside or give to En Musa.

So everything still not confirm. Wait till the memo out.

VIVA date and some...

We all may refer to notice board in SSMP for VIVA Schedule and the format.
The VIVA will be conducted from 12 May 2010 (Wednesday) until 15 May 2010 (Saturday).

Besides, information from Dr Din was that we need to print out a copy of the thesis for our own reference during VIVA as maybe the examiners will ask us to refer to what page and ask the questions.

Save the earth....

Suggestion event to save the earth by Yen Voon:

Most of us are going to leave this beautiful University, beautiful Sabah soon. We cannot bring back everything, except memories. So why not we 3R (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) those stuff cannot be brought back?

Recently, we can feel the weather is getting hotter and hotter, climate change faster than our imagination, disasters had killed million or even billion of lives in past few years. This could happen to us or our love one, may be, one day. Save the Mother Earth is the responsibility of young generation in 21st century. Prevent global warming before it is too late.

We invite all of you bring any recyclable things to the suggestion date to SSMP on 15 May 2010, Saturday. 8am to 12pm. We need volunteers, support from you. We make this as our last beautiful memories as in 4 years of SSMP life, University Life. Thank you.

Since there are a few personal photos that we took during last time session are blur or not in good quality even after photoshop, we hope to take the photos again for those people after the group photo session.

HN2006 batch photo taking session.

Just as a reminder, tomorrow will be the batch photo session.
As the time is late evening, hence we need to be fast to catch the sunlight before the day becomes dark.

A few important photo will be taken tomorrow like below:

Photos will be taken at the Dataran Dewan Canselor, The Stair towards Twin Tower, Dewan Canselor socalled main door.

Besides, the photo session will be carried out by ourselves without any hired photographer which coast us RM 400. So if you have own camera, please bring along. If you have friends that would volunteer to take photo for us, we will be very happy.

Four years of University life in SSMP...

A lot of knowledge, experience we gained through the years and effort.
Along the journey, we being guided by our lecturers, our tutors, our friends, and some make us stronger in a different way like lab assistants and some just be there for us when we need them.

Proposed Name : Rojak '06
(based on the concept we are all from different background,different age, different states, different personalities, so different but yet when mix together in the 'Rojak kuah'(SSMP) in year 2006, and become so delicious, so syok!)

Most possible price: RM 35 per book (most of you already pay RM 10 as deposit means still only need to pay RM 25)

Graduation Magazine Personal Photo Session

The photo session will be carried out 15 minutes after tomorrow (22 January 10) Dr Lee's class (remember to bring along the Food Regulation book for lecture).

The photos will be taken by 3 camerawomen : Elsa Yeo, Sei Cin, Hui Pin
Tomorrow, they will start to take the photo for food technology students according to the alphabetical order from Abdul Rahman B. Abdul Rashid until Nurul Izza Bt Md Yusof for tomorrow session. There will be 60 people in the first session.

The personal photo session will be carried on Friday after class for 3 weeks continuously like below (alphabetical order):
  1. 22 January 2010: 60 people (Food Tech: Abdul Rahman B. Abdul Rashid until Nurul Izza Bt Md Yusof)
  2. 29 January 2010: 60 people ( Food Tech: Nurul Izza Roslan ~ Yong Sui King; Food Science: Azie Nor Mazwani Shahari ~ Maria Bernard Sarimuda)
  3. 5 February 2010: 50 people ( Food Science: Matthew Tan Chee Siang ~ Yong Oi Moi)

If anyone cannot attend the photo sessions being set, please arrange with Noor Farhana for the change of date.

Attire:
Dark casual or formal (up to you).
No jacket or blazer provided.
No make up artist provided except yourselves.
Remember to bring your smile for the session.


Estimate duration: 80 minute after class.

The photo once taken considered forever.

Take Food Act Book

Dear friends,

The Food Act and Regulation book already reached in SSMP. Please take from me at Food Engineering Lab by tomorrow(14 January 2010) between 10.30am till 12pm.

Besides, please bring along the book to class during this Friday Food Law lecture as Dr Lee need the book for the lecture.

Please bring along RM 24 for those that have not pay deposit for the Food Regulation books or RM 14 for those that already paid for the deposit already.

Pass Up Invitation Letter to Datin before 15 January 2010

Regarding the course NP 40003, Topik-topik Khas by Datin, each group leader is required to pass up the invitation letter to Datin for filing purpose latest 15 January 2010 (Friday).

p/s: Whether or not the invitation letter is for our SSMP lecturer or invited lecturer, each group leader is required to submit the mentioned letter to Datin.

A survey result on Graduation Magazine and a disscusion on this Friday 10.00a.m.

Just to share a result of a survey done on last semester:

Survey was done on 81 SSMP 4th year friends :

80.25% of people want to have our own SSMP graduation magazine
However, just 4 . 93% willing to be part of the Graduation Magazine production team (I know thesis is hard and taking a lot of our time and i myself also most of the time in the lab).

The SSMP Graduation Magazine never being done in the previous batch. Do you want to have our own Graduation Magazine? It just an idea that the Graduation Magazine will serve as a memorial material in our future, or may serve as a symbol that we are almost finish our degree and graduate soon or even just serve as a contact directory of our friends.

To produce our own Graduation Magazine, we to need to have a group of people as a team to organize, to design, to plan, to edit, to write, to take photo and etc...

As the Graduation Magazine is not an assignment for us, it is on voluntary basis, flexible, based on our own interest and to have fun producing the Graduation Magazine.

Hope that as many people as possible to join the team. More people, more fun and easier to accomplish our mission!

Hence, this Friday, 8 January 2010, after the Food Law class teach by Dr Chye, 10.00am, for those that interested to be part of the team, please gather at our SSMP foyer (correction: at the lecture hall DKP that we attend class of Food Law) for a 40 minutes discussion. Mean the discussion will end at 10.40am. Hope to have a lot of people...
