Food Act 1983 (Act 281) & Regulations Booking

Food Science friends,

Food Act 1983 book will be used in next semester in the Food Law subject and it will be the main reference for the Open Book exam of the course. (Dr Lee, 2009)

However, the book has two version: MBC (cheaper, ~RM 28) and ILBS (more expensive, ~RM 38). In our Food Tech course discussion, we confirmed that I will decide after I compare both publisher book quality but mostly will buy the cheaper one.

Tomorrow( 16 Nov 2010), please stay back after your Toxicology Exam for the paying deposit session. One time session only,so hope you can wait even you finish your paper earlier. Whee Sim will conduct the session.

During the session, please fill in details and pay like below:

  1. Name
  2. English or Melay version
  3. Deposit of RM 10 per book
I will ordered the book once I get the number needed. The book supplier need to order earlier so that we can take the book during next semester first week.

Thanks and good luck for your final final exam subject, Food Toxicology.

  1. I m former UMS student. Would like to seek your comment on the latest amendments on the Food Regulation 11 3(a) which is related the hypersensitivity Ingredients. May you advice me whether the statement on "May cause hypersensitivity" is must to delcare in packing if the food product contains hypersensitivity ingredients? Is it have any other way to declare this statement. Reason we r asking on this is due to we found that this statement may make the consumer scared to consume the products which declare on this statement. Could you help me to check on this? Thanks a lot.
